Discussion of EMS Services
In an effort to reduce the cost of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) on the town, the Aurora Town Board will be exploring the possibility of changing its EMS provider from the City of Berlin EMS to Waushara County EMS. The first EMS discussion is scheduled to occur at the January Board meeting, and it is open to the public. If you are interested in the listening to the discussion or wish to participate in the discussion, please feel free to attend this meeting. Waushara County has a new Emergency Alert System called Hyper-Reach. This new emergency alert system will provide rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using a mix of phone calls, text and email messages, and even TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired.
Waushara County will use Hyper-Reach to alert residents about: 1) severe weather and environmental hazards, such as floods, fire, and public health alerts, 2) missing persons, 3) criminal activity, and 4) other imminent emergency situations.
Landline phones in the Town of Aurora are automatically enrolled for community alerts, but you must specifically enroll to receive Weather alerts to landline phones, and Community & Weather alerts to VoIP phones, mobile phones, and email addresses.
