NOTICE OF HEARING

Discontinuance of 60’ of Roadway Approaching the Dead End on 36th Court in the Town of Aurora


A public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Aurora, at the Aurora Town Hall located at W2319 State Rd 21, Berlin, WI 54923, on October 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., to discuss a proposed action to discontinue and vacate the last 60’ of the roadway approaching the dead end on 36th Court, in the Town of Aurora, in order to remove the road setback issue with an existing structure (see Exhibits A and B).  This public hearing was initiated by introduction of a resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Aurora, under Section 66.1003, Wis. Stats.

Waushara County has a new Emergency Alert System called Hyper-Reach.  This new emergency alert system will provide rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using a mix of phone calls, text and email messages, and even TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired.
Waushara County will use Hyper-Reach to alert residents about: 1) severe weather and environmental hazards, such as floods, fire, and public health alerts, 2) missing persons, 3) criminal activity, and 4) other imminent emergency situations.
Landline phones in the Town of Aurora are automatically enrolled for community alerts, but you must specifically enroll to receive Weather alerts to landline phones, and Community & Weather alerts to VoIP phones, mobile phones, and email addresses.
